Aspen Ladd's combat sport journey began at 14 years old. In addition to BJJ training as well, she was also trained in boxing, wrestling and kickboxing. When she was 18 years old, Ladd had her amateur debut at WCFC. Ladd went on an impressive 3-fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat. Her next bout was a win with Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission and went up to the weight of bantamweight in her next bout at Invicta FC 16. Aspen utilized the abilities she acquired in wrestling to beat McGill. She ended the fight with a an KO (3rd round) (elbows as well as punches). Aspen then faced Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. The fight was with Hoy in a catchweight (138.1lb) since Ladd did not make weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy and was able to knock her out in the second round with a TKO. The Invicta Fight Night 21 was her final bout for the company. The winner was Sijara Ebanks with a majority decision. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to debut. She faced Linalansberg during UFC Fight Night 118. She dominated Lina with a pound and grind to her, winning the TKO in the second round. In her second fight, she overcame Tonya Evinger even more impressively. Ladd defeated Evinger with a punch during the first round and was awarded the Performance of the Night bonus. Invicta FC's Sijara Ebanks was her opponent for the rematch that took place at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. It was the fighter's first big fight. Both fighters fought one of the most competitive fights that Ladd won by unanimous decision. Both fighters received their Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie stopped Ladd's winning streak in just 16 seconds. in the 3rd round on UFC on ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. In a recent replacement match in the UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. The fight was lost by majority vote.
