Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe comes from a multi-cultural household. Born within South London. Madekwe is English but her father is Nigerian. She was born and raised on a council estate located south of London. When she was 14she enrolled in The Brit School. She attended an academy called the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London where she gained an acting BA. She appeared on stage in many productions while attending school like King Henry V, as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe's acting career started in the series Storm Damage. Since then, she's been making appearances as a guest in films like Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe landed her first motion picture role in the Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. In the following film, she appeared in Elisha, the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In addition, she appeared as Ollie in the six episodes from Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. In 2008, she was offered the part in the role of Bambi in the ITV2 drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl which aired in three and two series. Madekwe made an appearance in the 2008 comedy feature film How to Lose Friends & Get People to Leave. Her credits in the theatre are Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) as well as Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe had her official US debut on the Drama series The Beautiful Life, which was only broadcast in the US on The CW before being cancelled. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge from February 2011. The show premiered in May 2013 and it was revealed that Madekwe, who had played a regular role in the previous two seasons had decided to quit the show after a guest-appearance in the first episode of the new season. Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress, is a member of a large family in Hamilton, Ontario. Ashley Leggat joined Roy and Patty and her other siblings: Brett, Todd and Bram as well as Rob.
